SAINTS vs CHIEFS

1. Saints +5.5

  • Rationale: The Saints have shown strong defensive metrics, ranking fourth in EPA per play allowed and second in Defensive DVOA. With the Chiefs missing key offensive players like Rashee Rice and Isiah Pacheco, the Saints have a good chance to keep the game close. Historically, the Saints have been successful as road underdogs under coach Dennis Allen (7-4 ATS), making this a solid play to cover the spread.

2. Under 43

  • Rationale: Both defenses have performed well, with the Saints particularly strong against the pass. The Chiefs have not been as explosive offensively as in previous seasons, and with Mahomes dealing with fewer receiving options, scoring may be limited. Trends show that primetime unders have been profitable, and both teams have struggled to score consistently in recent weeks.

3. Mahomes to Throw an Interception (-113)

  • Rationale: The Saints' secondary is known for creating turnovers, ranking third in the league in interceptions. Mahomes has been turnover-prone this season, and given the pressure the Saints can generate, it’s reasonable to expect him to throw at least one interception during the game.

4. Rashid Shaheed Anytime Touchdown (+230)

  • Rationale: Shaheed is a big-play threat and has a favorable matchup against a Chiefs secondary that has been vulnerable. With the Saints looking for offensive playmakers to step up, this prop bet could yield good value, especially given the potential for the game to be closer and thus more opportunities for scoring.

I will only be placing 0.5 units on Rashid Shaheed ATD.
