Eagles vs Packers Betting Preview

Happy Friday,

Welcome to a new segment we are calling. “PrimeTime Preview.” This is where we give in depth betting guides to prime time stand alone games that are being played.

We’ve got days of football ahead of us. That’s a great feeling. Yesterday’s betting guide to the Chiefs & Ravens game brought us lots of success. I thought I’d bring it back and try it again for tonight’s matchup in Brazil.

We’ve done our best to feed our A.I. system with all relevant data necessary to help us predict tonight’s game. As I stated yesterday, our models do tend to become more sharp after a couple games of data for each team. However, we were very successful yesterday being a bit more predictive.

I’m making today’s edition of “PrimeTime Preview” free. However, If you want every single bet I give out consider signing up for our premium service. I’ve made it super affordable for those interested.

Now, on to the game!

Spread and Moneyline

  • Packers +2.5: There’s strong sentiment that the Packers may be undervalued here. Matt LaFleur's record as an underdog and Jordan Love's strong finish to last season suggest the Packers have a good chance of covering the spread. Additionally, the Eagles have struggled against the spread as favorites recently. Given this context, Packers +2.5 seems like a solid bet.

  • Moneyline: Packers +135 or Eagles -155. Given the value on the Packers' moneyline and the close spread, it might be worth considering a small wager on the Packers to win outright if you believe they can indeed pull off the upset.

Total Points (Over/Under)

  • Total Points O/U 48.5: Both teams have potent offenses and mediocre defenses. Given the offensive firepower and the struggles both teams had defensively last season, the Over 48.5 appears to be a strong bet. Most analysts and trends point towards a high-scoring game.

Passing Props

  • Jordan Love Over 255.5 Passing Yards: Love threw for more than 255 yards in seven of his last nine games last season, and the Eagles’ secondary remains a concern. This prop is supported by his recent performance and the matchup against Philadelphia’s defense.

  • Jalen Hurts Passing Yards Over 238.5: Although Hurts has struggled to consistently exceed this number, the matchup suggests he might hit this yardage with his weapons. However, this prop is less compelling compared to Love’s.

Rushing Props

  • Saquon Barkley Over 65.5 Rushing Yards: Barkley averaged over 70 yards per game last season, and the Packers’ run defense was weak. Even with Jason Kelce’s departure, the Eagles’ offensive line remains strong, making this a solid bet.

  • Josh Jacobs Over 65.5 Rushing Yards: Jacobs is expected to get a significant workload, making the Over on his rushing yards appealing.

Receiving Props

  • A.J. Brown Over 70.5 Receiving Yards: Brown is a key target in the Eagles’ offense and should command a significant number of targets. Given his role and the potential for a high-scoring game, this prop is favorable.

  • DeVonta Smith Over 60.5 Receiving Yards: Smith should see plenty of targets, especially with new offensive schemes potentially boosting his role. Given the high total for the game, this prop is also a strong consideration.

  • Christian Watson Over 38.5 Receiving Yards: Watson is a big-play threat, and the Eagles’ defense struggled against the pass last season. This line seems low given Watson's potential for explosive plays.

  • Romeo Doubs Over 35.5 Receiving Yards: Doubs has been consistent in the latter part of last season, making this a reasonable bet.

Anytime Touchdowns

  • Saquon Barkley Anytime TD: Barkley is a strong candidate to score given his role in the Eagles’ offense and the Packers' struggles against the run.

  • Christian Watson Anytime TD: Given his red-zone potential and connection with Love, Watson could be a good bet for an anytime touchdown.
