Good Morning!
We are adding a new feature into the newsletter today titled “The Daily Rip”. You will continue to receive the bets as usual.
The Daily Rip will feature some of the line movement on today’s NBA games. The goal with this is to show you where smart money is going and to help you find the best lines to possibly shave a point or two on the spread.
The Daily Rip - Today’s Line Movement
Cavs opened as 15.5 point favorites and ripped to 17.5 as smart money came in on them. Most books have it at -17, but BetMGM still has it at -15.5. If you have BetMGM use it to get a better line and gain an advantage!
The Knicks opened as 3.5 point underdogs against the Clippers. The line has ripped to 7.5 and even 8 on a book or two. Markets aren’t liking the Knicks chances without Jalen Brunson and I tend to agree. You can get -7 on Draftkings right now to get the best line.
We’ve got CRAZY movement in the Thunder/Blazers game. The game opened as Thunder -15 and has went all the way down to -3! Why is that you ask?! SGA was announced out along with a slew of other stars! If you favor the Blazers like I do, BetMGM has the line at +3.5 whereas all the other books are +3. Stealing that half point could be crucial.

Key Insights
Cleveland Cavaliers Strengths:
Impressive Record: Cleveland is 52-10, and they have been dominating the Eastern Conference with a 35-7 record in conference games. Their recent form is also strong, winning 10 straight.
Offensive and Defensive Domination: The Cavaliers average 126.9 points per game while shooting 48.9% from the field. Defensively, they limit opponents to 109.1 points per game.
Fast Break and 3-Point Shooting: The Cavaliers rank ninth in the Eastern Conference with 14.8 fast break points per game, and they lead in made 3-pointers, averaging 16.2 per game, which is significantly higher than the 13.8 the Hornets give up.
Charlotte Hornets Struggles:
Poor Record: The Hornets are 14-47, struggling on both ends of the floor. They are 7-31 against Eastern Conference teams, and their scoring is well below the Cavaliers’ defensive capabilities.
Recent Form: The Hornets have only won 1 of their last 10 games, averaging just 97.6 points per game and shooting 39.6% from the field.
Defensive Issues: The Hornets give up 118.7 points per game to opponents, which is a significant disadvantage against a high-scoring team like the Cavaliers.
Matchup Breakdown:
Cavaliers' Offensive Power vs. Hornets' Defense: Cleveland has been putting up huge numbers offensively, and with the Hornets struggling defensively, this game could see the Cavaliers score even higher. Their 16.5-point spread indicates they are expected to dominate this matchup.
Rebounding and Fast Break Play: Cleveland's dominance in rebounds (49.6 per game) and fast break points will give them multiple opportunities for easy baskets, while the Hornets have been struggling in these areas.
Prediction:
Cavs -16.5: Cleveland's offensive firepower, combined with their strong defense, will likely overpower the Hornets. With the Hornets' struggles both offensively and defensively, it's hard to see them keeping the game competitive.
Pick: Cavs -16.5
Utah Jazz vs. Toronto Raptors
Point Spread: Raptors -5.5

Key Insights
Toronto Raptors Strengths:
Rebounding and Defense: The Raptors rank eighth in the Eastern Conference for rebounding with 43.9 rebounds per game, and they have one of the better rebounders in Jakob Poeltl (9.8 RPG). Their defensive effort is also bolstered by solid rim protection and hustle.
Recent Form: The Raptors have been struggling with consistency but have some strong individual performances, with RJ Barrett scoring an average of 21.7 points and Immanuel Quickley averaging 19.4 points in their recent 10 games. However, they are still 4-6 in their last 10 games.
Utah Jazz Weaknesses:
Road Struggles: The Jazz have been having significant struggles on the road, with a 7-23 record away from home. Their defense has been a major issue, allowing opponents to score 121.9 points per game in their last 10 matchups.
High Three-Point Volume: Utah leads the NBA in made 3-pointers per game (14.0) but their 35.6% shooting from deep could be problematic against a well-balanced Raptors defense. They also give up 14.7 made 3-pointers per game, so the Raptors' shooting from deep could play a key role.
Injuries: Key players like Jordan Clarkson, Walker Kessler, and Lauri Markkanen are all day-to-day, which could impact their performance. The Jazz has been inconsistent, averaging 115.7 points but giving up far more (121.9 points).
Matchup Breakdown:
Rebounding Battle: The Raptors' solid rebounding should give them an edge, especially since the Jazz’s offense, while potent, is often reliant on outside shooting. The presence of Poeltl will likely help limit the Jazz’s second-chance opportunities.
Scoring Efficiency: While the Jazz can score in bunches, their defense could be their undoing. The Raptors' defense (while inconsistent) should be able to slow down a Jazz team that struggles to control tempo on the road.
Prediction:
Raptors -5.5: Given the Raptors’ stronger defense, better rebounding, and the Jazz’s struggles on the road, Toronto is favored to cover the spread. Even with their offensive talent, Utah’s defense likely won’t be able to keep up with Toronto’s balanced scoring attack.
Pick: Raptors -5.5
