Good Afternoon!

An Apology

Yesterday we made an embarrassing mistake!

Each day we pull info from our data provider to craft the write ups on why we like certain bets. We got some bad data and that led to it being printed about Anthony Davis being on the Lakers which is obviously not the case anymore among a few other blunders.

Hand up. That’s on me.

I do proof read everything, but this one slipped past me. We proof read write ups for every game and it starts to run together at times. I missed this one.

Our betting decisions aren’t actually made by the data the crafts the write ups for each game.

Our betting decisions are purely analytical as we pull that type of data from a different source. The actual betting recommendations were legitimate. It was just the write ups that got screwed up.

Just wanted to formally apologize!

Overview:

New York Knicks:

  • Record: 45-27 (3rd in the Eastern Conference)

  • Recent Performance: The Knicks have been inconsistent recently with a 5-5 record in their last 10 games. They average 111.8 points per game and have maintained solid shooting efficiency (47.1% from the field). Their defense has been steady, holding opponents to an average of 109.1 points per game.

  • Key Strengths:

    • Rebounding: The Knicks average 42.6 rebounds per game, with Karl-Anthony Towns leading the charge in the paint.

    • Playmaking: They average 29.4 assists per game, led by their playmakers, making them a tough team to defend.

    • Efficiency: Shooting 47.1% from the field, the Knicks have a highly efficient offense that will need to sustain its performance in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Bucks:

  • Record: 40-32 (6th in the Eastern Conference)

  • Recent Performance: The Bucks are coming off a difficult stretch, going 4-6 in their last 10 games. They have struggled a bit offensively, averaging 111.9 points per game, while their defense has been a mixed bag, allowing 110.9 points per game.

  • Key Strengths:

    • Giannis Antetokounmpo: As always, Giannis is the Bucks' main weapon, averaging 30.2 points, 12 rebounds, and 5.9 assists. He can dominate both offensively and defensively, making him a game-changer.

    • Defensive Presence: The Bucks are strong defensively, averaging 8.1 steals and 4.1 blocks per game, but their offensive struggles and one-possession game issues have been concerning.

Betting Analysis:

Knicks -1.5:

  • Why: Despite Giannis Antetokounmpo being a force, the Knicks' balanced offensive and defensive approach, combined with Jalen Brunson’s absence, could help them edge out a win. The Bucks have struggled in close games and with one-possession games (5-9 record), which could make it tough for them to cover a close spread.
