Best Bets - 2/25/2025

Good Morning!

We’ve got 7 NBA games on the calendar tonight. I’ve ran each of them through our NBA Simulator and have best bets for each game.

One game I think everyone is looking forward to is the Dallas Mavs coming to LA to take on the Lakers. It’s the first time Luka will face his former team. Our A.I. has some predictions on that one.

Let’s waste no time!

Here are our NBA simulations as predicted by A.I. for 2/25/2025:

Free Bets of the Day

Celtics @ Raptors

This Boston Celtics vs. Toronto Raptors matchup is heavily favored toward the Celtics, who have been playing great basketball. Here’s a breakdown of the key factors:

1. Point Spread: Celtics -11.5

  • Celtics’ Strengths: Boston has been one of the best teams in the NBA, with a 41-16 record. They have been playing exceptional basketball, winning 5 straight games and averaging 118.2 points per game in their last 10. Jayson Tatum (26.8 PPG) is playing at an MVP level, and the Celtics have been strong on both ends of the floor. Their defense has limited opponents to 105.9 points per game, which should give them an edge against a struggling Raptors team.

  • Raptors’ Struggles: Toronto has been disappointing, with an 18-39 record. They have a poor 11-25 record in conference games and a 9-30 record against teams with a winning record. They have been giving up 116.7 points per game in their last 10 and scoring just 109.1 points. While Scottie Barnes (19.9 PPG) and Immanuel Quickley have been solid, Toronto has struggled to keep up with better teams, especially with their defensive inefficiencies.

  • Defensive Comparison: Toronto allows more points than they score, while Boston has been limiting teams effectively. The Celtics’ offensive firepower, combined with their defensive efficiency, should help them easily cover the -11.5 spread.

Bet Recommendation: Celtics -11.5. Boston’s offense and defense are far superior, and they should be able to cover this spread comfortably, even on the road.

Cavaliers @ Magic

This Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Orlando Magic matchup presents an interesting contrast, with Cleveland looking to continue its seven-game win streak while Orlando has been solid at home but struggles against top teams. Here’s a breakdown of the key factors:

1. Point Spread: Cavaliers -7.5

  • Cavaliers’ Strengths: Cleveland has been dominant this season, with a 47-10 record. They are outscoring opponents by an impressive 11.2 points per game and are averaging 122.9 points per game. With Donovan Mitchell (24.2 PPG) leading the charge and Evan Mobley (20.6 PPG, 10.1 RPG, 4.1 APG, 2.3 BPG) playing at a high level, Cleveland has been performing well on both ends of the floor. Despite the absence of Darius Garland (out with a hip injury), Cleveland has more than enough talent to cover the -7.5 spread against Orlando.

  • Magic’s Strengths: Orlando has been solid at 23-16 in conference games, and Franz Wagner (26.2 PPG over the last 10 games) has been a standout performer. However, they have struggled against teams with a winning record, with a 10-21 record against opponents above .500. While the Magic have been competitive, they face a tough test against Cleveland’s high-scoring offense and strong defense.

  • Defensive Comparison: Cleveland’s defense has been impressive, allowing just 110.7 points per game, while Orlando’s defense allows 105.2 points per game. However, Cleveland’s offense has been so potent that the defensive advantage may not be enough to keep this game close.

Bet Recommendation: Cavaliers -7.5. Cleveland’s superior offense, led by Mitchell and Mobley, combined with Orlando’s struggles against top teams, should allow the Cavaliers to cover the spread comfortably.
